More about the ingredients...
Ultra-S high strenght colon cleaner contains a unique blend of herbal ingredients to support healthy and regular bowels:
Turkey rhubarb (or Rheum palmatum), also referred to as Chinese rhubarb, Indian rhubarb, Russian rhubarb, rhubarb root and da-huang within Chinese herbal medicine, is a highly regarded herb that is widely used as part of colon cleansing programs, particularly by colonic hydrotherapists and clinics.
Barberry (berberis vulgaris), also referred to as mountain grape, pepperidge, berberry and the common grape, is a species of deciduous and evergreen shrub native to the temperate and sub-tropical regions of Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America. Its active ingredients include the isoquinolone alkaloids, particularly berberine.
Capsium frutescens is a so-called "hot" herb, also known as the Guinea spice, cow-horn pepper, aleva, bird pepper and red pepper. It is a chilli pepper that is red in colour and is traditionally used to spice dishes. Rich in vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin E, vitamin C, riboflavin, potassium and manganese, it is a nutritious spice. One of its key active ingredients is capsaicin, which may help to support healthy blood flow (and therefore natural detox) within the body, as well as a healthy metabolism.
Allium sativum contains the active ingredient allicin, along with amino acids, volatile oils, B group vitamins, iodine, selenium, quercetin, beneficial sulphur compounds and other minerals. It is a natural antibacterial.
Glucomannan is a water-soluble polysaccharide that is classed as a form of dietary fibre and is usually derived from the konjac root. It is considered to be one of the best sources of soluble fibre because it can absorb up to 100 times its own weight in water, making it a premier bulk-forming agent. Glucomannan may therefore support bulkier stool, which passes through the colon more easily. As well as digestive health, it may also support stable blood sugar levels, healthy cholesterol levels, heart health and weight management.
This dried herb is high in chlorophyll, vitamins (including vitamin C), serotonin, histamine, acetyl-choline, minerals (including iron), calcium and silica.
Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis and others) is a spiky, cactus-like plant of the lily family, best known for its soothing and calming properties. As well as containing 18 amino acids and vitamins (it is a vitamin B12 precursor), it may also support a lower toxic load, act as an antioxidant and support intestinal integrity and natural cleansing.
Dandelion (T. officinale and T. erythrospermum (the two species)), is native to Eurasia and North America. It is traditionally thought of as a weed, but to herbalists, naturopaths and other alternative medicine practitioners, it is considered to be a highly nutritious and valuable herb. A rich source of vitamin A, B complex vitamins, vitamin C and vitamin D, as well as minerals such as iron, potassium, and zinc, it has traditionally been used to support healthy fluid balance in the body and as a natural helper for the stomach and digestive system. It is also thought to provide support for the liver and gallbladder.
Ginger (zinigiber officianale), called giang jiang in its native Asia, is a tropical plant. It is a staple component of Asian and Middle Eastern cooking, popular for its hot and spicy flavour. For centuries it has been a widely used ingredient in natural herbal remedies to support a healthy gastrointestinal tract. Gingerol, a compound in ginger, is also a powerful antioxidant.
Alfalfa has been used and appreciated all over the world for centuries. It has a comprehensive list of its potential health benefits due to the high mineral content. it contains high levels of natural plant enzymes which supports food digestion and assimilation.
